West Briton

Children from Mullion CP School have been learning what it was like to be a child during the Second World War. Wartime evacuee Peggy Thompson, from Cadgwith, was able to tell them how she had to leave her family for the safety of the countryside to escape the bombing of British cities. The children were also shown films about the war, and are set to visit Flambards at Helston and its Britain in the Blitz exhibition. Pupils Ruby (in the tree), Maisie, Alice and Jenna, are here dressed as wartime evacuees.
