Firefighters were called out to a water pumping station in Cornwall after a blaze broke out during the early hours of the morning. Crews arrived at the station on Lanner Hill, Redruth, yesterday morning at just after 3.15am. One fire engine from Redruth and one from Camborne attended. Fire chiefs said it was an electrical fire and engineers were drafted in to make the area safe. Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service firefighters donned breathing apparatus and used a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to quell the flames.
